Research and Editorial Design
An independent research and editorial project dedicated to the virtually unknown botanical and zoological illustrations of Dámaso Antonio Larrañaga. Created during his tenure as a naturalist in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, this collection offers a rare glimpse into the scientific heritage of the Río de la Plata region.
Led by Mariana Duarte and Carlos Serra in research and management, the initiative secured funding from Uruguay’s National Culture Funds (2016) and the Incentive Fund (2017). This collaborative effort resulted in three printed editions, currently distributed across Uruguay and Argentina.
